October 2009 Newsletter

October’s Character Word is Responsibility. Our students are responsible when they are accountable for their behavior. They are prepared for school, make good choices, take care of pets, and take care of themselves.

Fire Safety and Red Ribbon Week are both celebrated this month.

In Classroom Guidance we have gone over the importance of having a Fire Plan at school and at home. We also talked about what to do if you catch on fire (Stop, Drop, and Roll) and how to stay away from anything that could burn you. Our Silverstreet Fire Department will be bringing over their truck and their gear to show the students.

Red Ribbon Week will be held from October 23rd to October 29th. We will be kicking off the week with “All Red Day.” The students get to dress up in as much red as possible to show their pledge to be drug free.

Congratulations to the September
Students of the Month!!!
